Term Deposits are non-registered deposits that are offered for 1 to 5 year fixed terms at varying interest rates.  Interest is paid annually to your account or compounded and paid at maturity.  Minimum investment is $1,000.  A redeemable 1 year term is also available if you need to keep your money liquid but are looking to earn more than currently is available in the savings accounts.
